Week 3 Rankings (Posted 10/1/25)
Portland continues their rise after dominant wins over Falmouth and Cheverus. How will their team fair in a big meet environment? York also remains untested against the top Maine schools., as are MDI. Will Freeport take the title like they did at Gorham, or will a new #1 emerge?
Week 2 Rankings (Posted 9/17/25)
There were some big shake-ups in the rankings in the wake of the Southern Maine Classic. Freeport took the win comfortably and rose to #1. Behind them, Falmouth was 2nd, but many teams including Cheverus, Hampden, Cape Elizabeth, and Thornton Academy were all very close behind. York had a strong result in New Hampshire and look like one of the state's best teams. Similarly, MDI has had great finishes up north but have yet to run the top teams in the state. Portland did not run this week and right now is one of the harder teams in the state to rank.
Week 1 Rankings (Posted 9/10/25)
Thornton Academy soars up to #1 after beating Falmouth by 1 point at Smiling Hill last Friday. Portland, Freeport, MDI, Cheverus, Hampden Academy, and Windham are all looking strong after picking up wins during Week 1. Bonny Eagle surpised with a strong showing at the SMAA Relays and followed that up with a solid result at Sanford. Orono only ran 4 girls at the Ellsowrth Invite, but once standout Maya Boyington starts racing, they should be set up to be the best team in Class C North.
York and Waynflete have so far run without one or more of their standout runners. They could rise back up the rankings when/if those athletes return.
