Rideout leads a surging Presque Isle squad which projects to be one of the better teams in Class B this year. If she can crack the top ten at the state meet she will put the Wildcats in a great spot to compete for a top 3 team finish. Her recent improvement over 1600m suggests this could be possible.
#22: Leah Harper – Madison Area (Grade 11)

With the top 5 finishers all graduating, Harper is the top returner from last year’s Class C State Meet. After watching her teammate, Bryanna Hagopian, win the title in 2025, Leah will look to take home the crown this year. A newly minted PR of 5:20 over 1600m shows that she’s already halfway there.

Foley is an X-Factor for Falmouth this year and her finish will play a key role in their team aspirations. While her strength is the middle-distances, she always runs well on the grass and gives the Navigators a great top three to lean on in the big meets. Speaking of big meets, Elle ran best when it mattered most last year, matching her regional placement at the State Championships.

2026 Outlook:
Probably the only runner on this list that runs the sprints, Erin Curtis is a multitalented athlete. Her capabilities range from being a 13.x 100m runner, to a 6:00 miler, to a 16 foot long jumper. On the grass last year, she excelled, placing 2nd in the FOC freshman race and 4th at the regional. She has big shoes to fill with the Broncos’ #2 runner, Gretchen Plant, graduating, but Curits appears up to the job.
