Girls Team Rankings

Our preseason top 6 have all confirmed their elite rankings through the first couple of weeks of the season.  MDI looks solid but have been without two of the top runners so far this year.  Hampden Academy added multiple impact freshmen and  looks to be a force in Class A. Likewise, Presque Isle and Yarmouth have had an influx of youth that has put them in a great position in Class B.  

The big story so far is the Massabesic Mustangs, who despite having finished 10th in the Class A South in 2025, look like a title contender this year.   Orono is also a bit of a surprise. The defending Class C champs projected to take a step back this year with only two returners but they have reloaded and now look like a potential favorite to defend the title.
